What’s the “Why” Behind Teen Evangelism Training?

When you think of typical youth ministry, evangelism training probably doesn’t come to mind as a major component. It’s tragic, really, that for decades, youth ministry’s focus has been on simply attracting teens to youth group rather than equipping them to share the gospel. But why is evangelism training so important?

A Generation in Need of a Savior

Every generation in history has needed Christ, but today’s teens seem to be in a more dire situation than any generation before. They’re growing up in a world of subjective truth and free rein to do and be whatever they want. But instead of freedom, they’re finding bondage. Anxiety, depression, and teen suicide rates are skyrocketing. All the lies of the world are resulting in a generation of teens growing up without hope, and they need a Savior.

So, evangelism training in youth ministry is so important because teens have so much influence on each other! Today’s lost teenagers need to hear about the God who offers eternal and abundant life. And the teens sitting in our youth groups week after week are the best ones to tell them. It’s time for us to train our students how to #Fight2Win their generation to Christ.

Evangelism Training—The Jumpstart for Your Teens’ Faith

At Dare 2 Share LIVE, students will learn exactly what it means to #Fight2Win for their lost friends. Throughout the whole event, they’ll be trained and inspired to answer Jesus’s call to make disciples. LIVE is intentionally designed to help them understand the gospel message and why it’s so urgent that we share it with others. And it’s not just a “sit there and listen” kind of deal. It’s an engaging, exciting experience to get teens invested in the advancement of the gospel and equipped to take it back home.

Plus, when a student shares their faith with someone else, it steels and seals their own belief in the gospel. Here’s a quick look at the incredible impact of last year’s LIVE event:

Between the impactful training sessions, powerful worship time, and afternoon outreach experience, Dare 2 Share LIVE is a game changer. And your students will come away with new passion to reach their lost friends for Christ. Find a Satellite Site near you and purchase your Church Kit ASAP before the price goes up on October 1st.
