Gospel Advancing Summit

what is it?

The Gospel Advancing Summit is an invitation-only gathering of Gospel Advancing leaders.

At this 3-day conference, we’ll build momentum for the Gospel Advancing movement through collaboration and community. Youth leaders from across North America come together with new and fresh ideas and participate in general sessions and breakout groups where they learn best practices from fellow leaders and how to accelerate the Gospel Advancing movement. Leaders leave refreshed and resolved to see every teen, everywhere, reached with the Gospel.

Greg Stier is an evangelist, author, speaker, and founder of Dare 2 Share Ministries. For over three decades, Greg has trained and equipped countless teens and youth leaders worldwide to share their faith and build youth ministries that advance the Gospel.

Jerrod Gunter has a heart for developing and equipping youth in every phase of life. With more than 10 years of youth ministry experience, Jerrod has challenged students to make Jesus the priority in their lives. He has started a movement, labeling teens “Riotstarters”, that has shown them how to create a culture of prayer and evangelism in their schools and communities.

Jurie is currently part of the senior leadership of Shoreline Church in Austin, Texas, and leads NXT Move, which is tasked with gathering Christian leaders to turn around the negative trajectory of Christianity in the next generation. Jurie sees duplication and siloed thinking as the greatest obstruction to the fulfillment of the Great Commission, and he strives to address these issues through his role as Director of Collaboration with the Lausanne Movement.

Kris graduated from the Word of Life Bible Institute, attending campuses in both New York and Argentina. He and his wife Debbie began the Word of Life ministry in France in 1999, where they served for over 10 years before returning to the U.S. and serving in the home office as Executive Vice President of International Ministries. In this role, he oversees more than 1,600 missionaries in 80 countries.

Dave Gibson is the Global Ambassador at Grace Church of Eden Prairie, MN, where he has served for over 30 years. He also serves as US Director of Go Movement and Global Leadership Team, and Board Chair for the Global Alliance for Church Multiplication GACX. He served as the Executive Vice President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Executive Director of Mission America.

Polen Band

Developed out of an excitement to see God glorified, Polen Band travels from their home state of Ohio to conferences, coffee shops, churches, and community events all over the country, leading people in passionate and sincere worship through contemporary Christian music.

breakout sessions

Join Dare 2 Share founder Greg Stier as he walks through the Gospel Advancing philosophy. Understanding the 1 Vision, 7 Values, and 5 Truths will help you grow as a leader and refocus your efforts, as you strive to reach every teen in your community with the Gospel.

Facilitator: Greg Stier

Networking with other leaders can be difficult, so it often gets pushed to the bottom of the list of ministry demands. This session will inspire you to bump it to the top, and equip you with practical tips and tools to confidently take the next steps toward an effective GA network—whether you’re brand-new to networking or a seasoned veteran.

Facilitator: Ben Phillips

When you pair the power of the Gospel with the potential of teens, incredible things happen. Learn the “whys”—and four essential “hows”—of mobilizing students to live out their faith.

Facilitator: Doug Henry

Make the most of this youth group power tool, as you explore how it can help you with training, discipleship, evangelism, event management, tracking, and more. Plus, get the first glimpse of brand-new, exciting features that are coming soon to help you and your students thrive in Gospel Advancing.

Facilitator: Carrie Evans

Culture-change in your youth group starts when you fully embrace and model Gospel Advancing. In this breakout, you’ll develop an individualized plan for prayer, relational evangelism, and making disciples that fits your personal style and will influence your whole group.

Facilitator: Brian Baldwin

Gospel Advancing ministries define success by not just people in seats and dollars in budgets, but by biblical outcomes seen in the lives of individual students and the ministry as a whole. This session maps out how you can structure your ministry for God-honoring success and then track your progress toward your goals.

Facilitator: Carrie Evans

As with any expedition, the Gospel Advancing journey is much easier with a guide. In this session, you’ll identify which Gospel Advancing stage you’re in and learn how to advance to the next level. Whether you’re stuck or thriving, you’ll leave with practical growth steps and learn how you can continue to fuel the GA movement locally and globally.

Facilitator: Pauline Ebert

The founder of Calibrate Ministries, Brady Cone, will illustrate how Jesus engaged tough topics in truth and love, and then teach you to do the same. You’ll learn how to navigate conversations that arise in your own life, as well as equip your students for the constant conversation happening around them.

Facilitators: Brady Cone & Kellee Katagi

There are many clubs and campus-ministry models designed for Christian students to create community and grow. The best ones also pursue opportunities for students to “break the huddle” and engage their campus with the Gospel. Come discover practical ways to empower your students to do more for the Gospel in their schools.

Facilitators: Keith Seymour & Travis Deans

Did you know that God has goals He’s working to accomplish? Get to this session to learn how to set goals that are God-honoring, Radical, Exact, Achievable, and Time-sensitive—goals that keep you focused on your bold vision and motivated to strive toward its fulfillment.

Facilitator: Mr. Bill

In Ephesians 4, we see the purpose Jesus gave leaders in the church: to build up the Body of Christ for the work of the ministry. The students in your ministry need opportunities to grow, to learn what it looks like to lead, and to set the pace of Gospel Advancing for their peers. This session examines five key areas to consider as you develop a student leadership team.

Facilitator: Eric Groezinger

To increase your staying power for faithful ministry, you need spiritual, physical, mental, and relational vitality. In this session, you’ll learn how Jesus’s example can help you build it, and then leave with practical steps to help you follow through.

Facilitator: Carrie Evans

More than 80% of U.S. teens live in urban settings, which means ministries in these areas are on the front lines of the battle for young people’s souls. Join Riotstarter founder Jerrod Gunter for insights into the ever-changing urban youth culture and how ministry to and through these students can set the pace for Gospel impact.

Facilitator: Jerrod Gunter
