Over 6,000 youth groups from 100+ countries are signed up to participate in a global youth evangelism movement kicking off November 9th called Dare 2 Share LIVE. This event will inspire and unleash teens to reach their world with the Gospel.

Will your youth group be part of this global day of youth evangelism?

Yes? Great! It is going to be a world-shaking day.

No? Register now to get access to the event videos and resources, and then come back and read the rest of this post!

Here are 10 things you can do in preparation for your Dare 2 Share LIVE event.

1 – PRAY

First and foremost, pray! Set a daily prayer alarm and pray for Dare 2 Share LIVE. Pray for your students who are going to be there. Pray for the lost people in your community, for the friends of your teens who will hear the Gospel, and for the impact it will have on the world!

2 – Put it on the calendar

Get Dare 2 Share LIVE on the calendar at your church. Invite your youth group students and adult leaders to both participate and join you in prayer for the event.

3 – Decide your level of involvement

There are many different ways to customize the event for your unique context.

  • Stream it with your group – download and play the event videos with your group. All you need is a device to play them on, and plans for the outreach portion.
  • Make it more involved – you can make Dare 2 Share LIVE more interactive for your group by providing your own worship band and acting as emcee yourself.
  • Make it a community event – bring together other churches in your area to reach your community with the Gospel. Link together to start a community wide teen-led movement of Gospel conversations.

4 – Plan your outreach activity

One of the most critical and exciting parts of Dare 2 Share LIVE is the outreach experience. Students will go out into their own communities to serve and share the message of Jesus. They get a chance to put what they learned to action and see God work firsthand!

Make your plans now and decide what your group will do for outreach during the event. Check out this PDF to spark some ideas for what you could do with your group.

5 – Join the Gospel Advancing Facebook Group

Join this online community of like-minded youth leaders to share ideas and youth ministry best practices. Many of these youth leaders are participating in Dare 2 Share LIVE this year and they have some great advice!

6 – Be active on social media

Start posting now using the event hashtag:

  • #d2slive

Be active in spreading the word and build momentum in your community before November 9.

7 – Get your students involved

Include your youth group in the planning and outreach ideas for the event. You’ll increase their buy-in and excitement to be part of the movement.

You can also include your students in promotion and social media, allow them to get creative!

8 – Get other churches involved

The church is strongest when it is united, and what better way to bring people together than advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Find ways to rally other groups and churches together in your community.

You can also check out this video for great ideas on how to start networking with other churches.Ā

9 – Download the Life in 6 Words app

Students will use this app to connect with other groups participating in Dare 2 Share LIVE and during the outreach time to share the Gospel with others. Have them download theĀ Life in 6 Words app ahead of time!

The Life in 6 Words app provides an interactive and engaging way to naturally initiate spiritual conversations. This tool helps students walk someone through a clear message of the Gospel and the hope found in Jesus Christ, as well as track the number of conversations they have.Ā

10 – Have fun and be creative

This event is for YOUR community and YOUR students, be creative and make it an amazing experience for you and your church!
