Lead THE Cause is a short term urban mission trip that is path-altering, fun, challenging, and an inspiring experience that will teach teenagers how to share the gospel through education and real-world practice. We have a saying here at Dare 2 Share, “If you fall in love with Jesus, you will always evangelize.” This good news is too good to keep to yourself! After all, the heart of the gospel message is a love for Christ and a love for His people.

Lead THE Cause trains teenagers to live a life on mission – the mission of sharing the good news with every single person on the planet starting with other teenagers they interact with on a daily basis. Phil Hildebrand, VP of Ministry Advancement at Dare 2 Share Ministries, says teens are “deeply trained in the Why of evangelism, the What of the gospel, and the How of sharing your faith with people. Each one of these pieces gives the students (and the Youth Leaders) a solid understanding of what a great calling every Christian has to be ambassadors of the gospel.”

Lead THE Cause – Austin

We’re excited that this movement continues to grow to new cities every year – this year in Austin, TX and next year to the City of Angels.

We knew we wanted to expand into Texas, and Austin was the perfect fit. With the growth the city has experienced, there is undoubtedly an energy behind the music, the hipsters, and overall community. Students will be lodging on the campus of Huston-Tillotson University in East Austin where the atmosphere will be college-like, focused, and high-energy!

From June 26-30, 9th -12th graders will gather in Austin to worship with their peers and leaders and leverage that excitement to go and share the gospel in the local community. Please join us in praying for this city and the teenagers that will be spreading gospel seeds all over. This world often tells teenagers that their identity is in their appearance, their accomplishments, or how they portray themselves on social media. The pressures are HUGE! But we know that the only purpose worth pursuing is in Christ and His mission of sharing the gospel with those they love (and those they don’t even know!) to advance THE cause “to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

Youth leaders, we encourage you to bring students with you that you would take on a mission trip. If your students have been to a Lead THE Cause event in the past, we have a special curriculum just for them. All students will hear speakers like Greg Stier, Doug Holliday, Zane Black, Andy McGowan, Tyree Sterling, and Aaron Bolduc. These speakers are not only incredibly engaging, but discipling teenagers is their mission.

Zane Black has spoken at many Dare 2 Share events and says this about teenagers, “I’m overwhelmed by the courage, boldness, passion, dedication, and straight up awesomeness of YOU students. You continue blow me away by how you respond to God’s call on your life.”

“Our prayer is that the students fall in love with Jesus,” Phil says of the teenagers attending. “This awareness of how much they have received can’t be contained, and it naturally overflows as a new passion and love for those who have not yet come to know Jesus.” We see this as the catalyst for a life-long dedication to sharing the gospel.

Every conversation your teenagers have is a chance to see people respond to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. At Lead THE Cause, your teens will gain the confidence to become gospel-sharing, Jesus-loving, kingdom-advancing ambassadors of the gospel!

We can’t wait to watch your teenagers grow in their faith exponentially this week in Austin!

If you and your group couldn’t make it to LTC this year, make sure to keep Lead THE Cause 2018 on your radar and sign up for event updates and deadlines. You don’t want to miss this awesome opportunity to see your students advance the gospel at Lead THE Cause!
