At Dare 2 Share (D2S), weā€™re passionate about the power of the gospel AND the impact teens can have in reaching their world for Christ! Thatā€™s why weā€™re continually striving to deliver creative, powerful, catalytic, God-focused training for students and youth leaders. So Iā€™m excited to tell you about a fantastic week-long, summer training opportunity for teenagers and youth leaders called Lead THE Cause (LTC).

This dynamic week of leadership training is a great way to inspire and equip your students to take their faith to the next level of spiritual maturity and leadership. The dates and locations for this yearā€™s LTC events are:

Chicago:Ā  June 22-27, 2015, Moody Bible College

Denver:Ā  July 13-18, 2015, Colorado Christian University

Portland:Ā  July 27-August 1, 2015, Multnomah University

LTC will propel your students to move beyond their current comfort zone. It is designed to:

  • Grow the faith of your students
  • Instill a biblical disciple-making model into your groupā€™s DNA
  • Prepare your students for a lifetime of fruitful service and leadership
  • Help you build a Gospel Advancing ministry that has real Kingdom impact
  • Equip you and your student to become a part of the leading edge of revival within the U.S. Church

Our aim is to inspire and equip you and your teenagers to launch a student-led Gospel Advancing movement that will reach entire schools and communities with the message of the gospel.

Charging Batteries vs. Building a Power Plant

Along with our LTC ministry partner, Sonlife, weā€™ll be pouring into LTC attendees with an intensity that will take your youth group to a whole new level of commitment when it comes to reaching their peers for Christ. If you’re familiar with Dare 2 Shareā€™s weekend conferences, think of it this way: A D2S weekend conference charges your groupā€™s evangelism batteries, while LTC is about learning to build a power plant within your own community that can launch and provide the ongoing energy source for a student-led Gospel Advancing movement. By providing a framework to understand what discipleship looks like and how to make other disciple-multipliers, your group can see sustainable, exponential Kingdom impact.

Youā€™ll be taught and mentored by Dare 2 Shareā€™s Zane Black, Sonlifeā€™s Doug Holliday, and myself. Throughout the week, lesson content will be reinforced by a variety of offsite activities.

Making Disciples Who Make Disciples

But be warned. Participation at LTC will require commitment and sacrifice from you as the teamā€™s leader to oversee, direct and encourage. It will require commitment from your teens as well. Isnā€™t learning to take Jesusā€™ mission seriously worth it?

If you are feeling the prompting of Godā€™s Spirit to be involved with this opportunity to equip your teens to lead THE Cause in their schools and communities, I encourage you check out the LTC web pages to learn more. Then prayerfully consider which students you should approach about this opportunity.

Remember that God delights in using the unlikely to accomplish the impossibleā€”He took a rough, uneducated group of fisherman and used them to change the world! In fact, the Bible is full of examples of Him using young people to accomplish His plan and purposes: the shepherd boy David, the teen Queen Esther, the young, innocent Mary.

Help your students learn to lead the way and do something significant for God!

Hope to see you there.
