What Really Happened at the First Dare 2 Share LIVE

If you had visited the Dare 2 Share Ministries headquarters a year ago, you’d find a team that was excited, hopeful, and a little uncertain about the new event that 2017 would bring—Dare 2 Share LIVE.

For decades, Dare 2 Share hosted weekend conferences across America training students how to share their faith. Amazing things happened at conferences, and saying goodbye to that model of gospel training took a big leap of faith (read Greg Stier’s blog on what it was like to “kill the conferences”).

But as we look back on all that Dare 2 Share LIVE accomplished, we know that the leap of faith was well worth it. Here’s what God did through the thousands of teens, youth leaders, and volunteers that made that day possible:

• Almost 10,000 teens received gospel training in 68 host sites across America. That’s way more teens than we could have ever possibly trained in one year through our two-day conferences, and in locations we never could’ve reached before!
• At least 7,399 gospel conversations were recorded on the Dare 2 Share LIVE app map. Add all the other conversations not recorded on the map and it’s safe to say Dare 2 Share LIVE started a nationwide gospel movement!
• Students collected 37,538 non-perishable food items for their local food banks and shelters—that’s approximately 19 tons of food or 31,000 meals for their communities.

Dare 2 Share Live was so amazing! You could feel God’s power as 69 hostsites banded together to go out and spread the gospel! Thousands of teens were taught and equipped to go and spread the gospel and share their faith without fear! Also another thing God blessed immensely was the canned food drive that happened during the outreach in Dare 2 Share Live! Our site alone collected 210 cans of food and 2 bags of clothes for Hurricane Harvey victims! Overall we collected thousands of cans of food to provide for the less fortunate all over the nation! We had a great time at #Dare2ShareLive this weekend! We not only educated students about sharing the gospel, but let them put it into action! We ended up collecting over 400 canned goods for our local homeless shelter. @dare2shareministries
