1. Why is it so important for teens to know how to disciple others?
“Sonlife was birthed 40 years ago out of the conviction that many of Jesus’ initial followers were teenagers. If Jesus started a world-shaking movement 2,000 years ago with teenagers, why should it be any different today? I believe it was, and still is, God’s plan to use teenagers to transform the world for Christ.”
2. Sonlife used to have an event similar to LTC called ‘SEMP’. What’s been the biggest benefit of combining efforts with Dare 2 Share?
“SEMP began in the early 90’s as an event to help youth pastors see their Students Equipped to Minister to Peers. The focus of Lead THE Cause today remains exactly that, and the fruit is undeniable. What Dare 2 Share has brought to strengthen what Sonlife had formerly done with SEMP is simple, clear, easily usable gospel sharing training and tools like the Life In 6 Words app, SALT videos, and Ask-Admire-Admit gospel conversation navigation.”
3. What’s your favorite part of speaking at LTC?
“As a teenager, I was trained to share my faith and it changed the trajectory of my life. What an incredible privilege to call students to a lifetime of disciple-making!”
