Every year at Lead THE Cause, our weeklong summer camp alternative, we see teens actively learning and growing in their faith. God is at work in their lives, and through them lives are being saved.
So this year, when hundreds of students shared the Gospel thousands of times over the course of a week, we can only give Him praise.
During the two weeklong events hosted at Colorado Christian University in summer 2022, we saw:
- 748 total students and youth leaders attended
- 3,750 total Gospel conversations
- 110 total decisions for Christ made
Give praise to God with us for the boldness these students showed in their faith. These numbers would not be possible without Him guiding us and instructing us on how and where to move.
At Lead THE Cause 2022, teens learned they are worthy
Throughout the course of a week, students learned to pray, care for those around them, and share the Gospel with the world. They studied Luke 3:21-22 and learned what it means to be WORTHY in the eyes of God. This message resonated deeply in the hearts of teens, who are surrounded daily by the chaos and confusion of the world.
In powerful messages, speakers Greg Stier, Zane Black and Jerrod Gunter revealed to students that worthiness flows from our:
- IDENTITY
- BELONGING
- PURPOSE
“When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: ‘You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.’ Luke 3:21-22
In the moment of His baptism, Jesus was confirmed in His identity as God’s son, commissioned in His purpose as the savior of the world, and strengthened in His place in the Trinity with the touch of the Holy Spirit and the message of the Father.
In the same way, as believers, we can be assured of our identity, belonging and purpose. Although we’re not members of the Trinity, we’re invited to be part the absolute love of the Godhead! So, when we go forth to share the news of Jesus, we know we are fulfilling the command Jesus gave to us, and we can be bold in our purpose, knowing we are worthy of the task, for we are chosen for it.
