We all want our students to have a passion for Christ and a heart for the lost. But teaching them to have “Jesus eyes” can be easier said than done. How can we effectively help our teens see their world as a mission field that desperately needs the gospel?
High school student Abriana Schultz is just one Lead THE Cause (LTC) alumnus whose week of intensive evangelism training helped her start to see the world through a gospel lens. Abriana explains her experience below:
Students who attend Lead THE Cause are thoroughly trained on the howās and whyās of sharing the gospel. Then, theyāre given opportunities throughout the week to serve and have gospel conversations in the real world. After one afternoon of serving in a lower-income community during LTC, Abriana said, āDuring that care time, I personally felt their painā¦ Their need for Jesus is just so evident and itās a whole new level of seeing people through Jesusās eyes rather than mine.ā
Abrianaās Lead THE Cause experience is not unusualāweāve heard tons of powerful stories of students leaving their week at LTC with a new set of āJesus eyesā and an ignited passion to reach the lost. If you want to see your students become excited about sharing the gospel and making disciples, then Lead THE Cause is a summer event that you need to check out!
