Fall Youth Events for a Back to School 1-2-3 Punch

Want to see your students on fire for Christ and for sharing the gospel this school year? Start your year off with these 3 events for a 1-2-3 punch.

Youth ministry isn’t about just entertaining a group of teens for a few hours every week. It’s also not a contest for who has the coolest, most fun youth group in town. Effective, biblically inspired youth ministry is about equipping students to live as sold-out, all-in disciple-makers. It’s about reaching every teen everywhere with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What’s driving the events and programs in your youth ministryAre prayer and evangelism among your top prioritiesDuring the next few weeks, there are three hard-hitting fall youth events that will help guide your priorities and ignite your students’ passion for prayer and evangelism. These events work together to create a back to school 1-2-3 punch,” setting the tone for a school year of reaching the lost. They’re also conveniently scheduled to take students on a journey of praying first, then evangelizing in the real world! So, check out these three events and get them on your calendar ASAP:

1. Pray WITH Youth Sunday – Sunday, September 22, 2019

Pray WITH Youth

Pray WITH Youth is aevent where students and adults in churches worldwide come together for a transformative time of prayer. PrayWithYouth.com says, “This global prayer challenge brings congregations together on one day for one purpose: To build intergenerational relationships that release the potential of young people across the globe for Christ and the Church.”

The intention of this event is to pray with students rather than simply for them. It’s to affirm the vital role that teenagers have in the church today—not just someday in the future. What a powerful experience for your students to be supported and believed in by the rest of your congregation! You can find out how to sign the Pray WITH Youth declaration and register for this event here.

2. See You at the Pole – Wednesday, September 25, 2019

See You at the PoleOne weekend 29 years ago, a small group of students in Texas felt led to pray at their local schools. They shared about their powerful prayer time with other youth groups, and an event called See You at the Pole (SYATP) was born. Today, millions of students across the globe and of all ages meet at their schools’ flagpoles on the fourth Wednesday in September, praying in unity for their classmates, communities, and country.

SYATP’s impact comes from the way it unifies Christian students to pray for the lost and in how it provides opportunities for gospel conversations. This is a great event to ignite passion for prayer and evangelism within your teens before they attend Dare 2 Share LIVE!

3. Dare 2 Share LIVE – Saturday, October 12, 2019

Dare 2 Share LIVE (LIVE) is the third hit in this 1-2-3 combo that will drive home the urgency of reaching the lost to your teens. At LIVE, students are inspired and trained to pray for, care for, and share the gospel with their friends. As part of the LIVE experience, they’ll go into their communities to tangibly serve their neighbors and practice their new faith-sharing skills. Since the first Dare 2 Share LIVE in 2017, thousands of students across the U.S. have been trained and unleashed to share their faith, resulting in at least 15,384 gospel conversations! This year, students will learn about the spiritual war that’s waging for lost souls and will be equipped to #Fight2Win their generation to Christ.

To attend this event, find one of the 102 Satellite Sites that’s closest to you and get your Dare 2 Share LIVE Church Kit. By purchasing a Church Kit, you can bring as many students as you want to LIVE at no extra cost! (Keep in mind that the price for Church Kits increases to $299 starting October 1st.)

And if you’re too far away from a Satellite Site, you can still participate through our new Streaming Only option which brings LIVE directly to your youth room. Either way, don’t miss this chance to see your students be part of a teen-led, nationwide gospel movement.

Hard-Hitting Fall Youth Events that are Easy to Do
