Arif is Risking It All to Follow Christ’s Calling
A Christian community is rising up in Pakistan, thanks to one man listening to Christ’s direction for his life.

In 51 countries, Christianity is illegal
Pakistan is one of these countries; citizens can be imprisoned for practicing Christianity. Pakistan has a population of 225 million, with 63% being young people. It is the 5th largest country in the world, but only less than 2% of its people are Christian. The country lacks freedom, rights, good education, job opportunities, suffers from debt slavery, and experiences high mortality rates. It is a scary situation; however, thanks to one courageous man, a larger Christian culture has emerged. This mans name is Arif.
Arif is a Pakistani citizen and a longtime Christian who is passionate about others knowing Christ. He has even committed to being a Gospel Advancing leader. As a result, in 2019, he took the opportunity to participate in his first Dare 2 Share Global Cohort in the United States, alongside Lead THE Cause – a faith activating summer camp for teens organized by Dare 2 Share. During the cohort, he felt a tugging on his heart from God that he is called to bring the Gospel to Pakistan. As a result, he started a small training program that teaches people how to advance the Gospel, disciples them, and sends them out to reach others. However, it can be dangerous; one man was beaten, imprisoned, and ultimately sentenced to death for trying to share the Gospel. But, it hasn’t stopped him or the students, as he has said: “they have been given a spirit of boldness to give vision for the Gospel Advancing movement everywhere in Pakistan.”
His ministry has evolved to also help people in the Muslim area, and people in brick laying areas who are enslaved from generational debt. Arif’s ministry has been able to pay off debts and help over a hundred families gain their freedom! Additionally, he has founded an educational school where teens enthusiastically participate and share the Gospel with other students.

Arif’s story is truly inspiring. His courage is commendable, and he exemplifies what it means to live for Christ. Arif told us that he believes “the name Dare 2 Share is specific for Pakistan, every teen, everywhere hearing the Gospel from a friend.” He says, he is “filled with joy and peace, and is much more passionate for his work then ever before.” We can’t wait to hear more about all the things he is and will be doing.
