What if we are doing a campus outreach ministry and nobody is coming to Christ?
Ask yourself several questions:
- Are we inviting enough students out to the outreach meeting?
- If not, why not? Is the campus ministry team unmotivated? Do they not know who to invite out?
- Are they lazy? Do they understand the importance?
- Are students actually coming to the meeting?
- If not, why not? Is it at an inconvenient time or place? Does the meeting sound "weird" to them?
- Do your invitations or flyers look lame?
- Is the gospel being given clearly at the meeting?
- If not, why not?
- Is the leader afraid to share the gospel?
- Does the leader not know how to give the gospel?
- Is the leader against sharing the gospel?
- Is there a non-threatening opportunity for students to respond to Christ? (For instance a raise of hands while heads are bowed and eyes closed or a card that everyone fills out afterward that has a response box for them to check if they came to Christ, etc.)
- Are you living pure lives? God's blessing can stop when we are living impure lives. Often when people aren't coming to Christ, it is because Christian students are not living for Christ.
