You're Next Testimonies
I just finished reading You're Next, and can hardly find words to describe my response. I read a great deal to prepare for ministry, and have read lots of books, finding many to be repetitive (or not challenging with truth) in concept, content and application - I'm a picky reader! But, this book is in a different league. It is very insightful, practical, convicting and funny!
I like the way you tied together the different components for each chapter and found each aspect helpful. I really liked the application questions, not just "yes" or "no" responses, but questions that must be given thought. As a person who has a library full of "The Classics" I especially loved the "Blast from the Past!" And I also appreciated the scriptures that were integrated into each chapter - that helps us understand that all of the bible is relevant!
Although targeting teens, this book challenged me - my own convictions and understanding of who I am in Christ. In my own teen years, I would have given anything to have had a book like this to read and help me grow in my relationship with Him. And, to not feel that I was alone!
There is no doubt the Lord inspired this book, and it is awesome to think of what He will do through it! I am in awe of the ministry that God has brought about through Dare 2 Share, and give glory to Him for all that He will do through it.
