GOSPEL Journey Testimonies

I hate curriculum and never use it - I especially don't like videos and yet we're using it two different ways in our church. The conversation part is very open and just honest dialogue. It's been really beneficial. A couple of new believers have found answers to a lot of their questions since starting the series. We're on the 3rd week

Last week more visitors came than the week before. This is something you can bring a friend to that opens up conversation... We open with the video and then leave it to students to ask some of their questions. Now the students are getting a bit deeper [in their thinking]...

The students love it! They're seeing it in Sunday school class and then [again] on Wednesday nights. [Those who are not saved] don't have to be ashamed and definitely can bring their friends too. I've seen a few who definitely don't know Christ come to visit the group and return.

I'm pretty excited about it! I went to the Columbus, OH conference and since then our e-team has doubled.

Our youth group did the Rev'd Up and we got our e-team established. We are on the 2nd week of our GOSPEL Journey DVD series. Things are going well. We have a goal to have 30 new visitors in our youth group in three months and we've already had 7 new visitors in two weeks.

For anyone that has any doubts about using this curriculum, please tell them about my success. Tell Greg, "Good Job!" and well done on these two series. And I ask...What is next for us after this GOSPEL Journey? Any ideas?

Greg, I just wanted to write and let you know we are using The GOSPEL Journey with our students on Wednesday nights. They are eating it up!! They can't wait to get there every Wednesday. We were averaging around 45 each night before. I was thinking negatively that our numbers would drop because we are doing something really intense. I was sorely mistaken!! We are averaging around 53 each Wednesday. I am hearing from parents on a weekly basis. This has been an amazing journey already. We are seeing new students every Wednesday. We are coming to the end of the training set. Thank you soooooooooooo much for the innovative way to share the Gospel!

The footage honestly captures their adventures, their discussions, their doubt, their disbelief, and Greg's interaction with them as he masterfully, gracefully, and respectfully engages them in considering what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

The Gospel Journey is marked by engaging and powerful content along with terrific production in an inviting mix that plays well to postmodern spiritual seekers. Every kid will find someone on the journey to identify with at the level of background, life story, or varied response to the Gospel.

This is a tool that I highly recommend. The content and format combine to offer a great catalyst for discussing the Gospel and a springboard from which to take kids deeper.

This video will rock the worlds of both Christians and non. If you want a tool that keeps the Gospel simple and at the same time will challenge your students, this is the one! Greg has a way of drawing students in and keeping them engaged.

It was great to have people from all different beliefs come together, and then to see how Christianity fully stands against the waves of all other religions. This video is a sweet tool to show students that we don't live a blind faith, and that our faith is legit. In a time when truth is losing its meaning, this video shines through as a glimmer of hope to train students on how to stand in confidence on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I was super amped to be part of something was done in complete excellence, being part of something that was so real and raw. A rad time of 7 students, from all different walks, thrown in the mix of a crazy ride through the whole Gospel with no fluff.

You guys need to hear that the Holy Spirit is reshaping the culture of my church, and how the Dare 2 Share materials (books, curriculum, and conference-we went to Denver this year; next year in St. Louis) have been incredible tools for this change. The DVD series The Gospel Journey that is a sort of reality show... they took a bunch of college students into the mountains for a week and explored spiritual issues (including atheism, agnosticism, Wicca, and several Christian denominational traditions). It is unscripted and intended as a tool for showing students how to share their faith with anyone. Check this out though; somehow my DVD set got into the hands of an "age 60+ small group." These once stuffy people who literally insulted my students on a regular basis have begun trying to include them in hallway conversations, small group activities, and are seeking out teenagers. Granted, they are not on fire for teens yet, but the ice is melting!

Our group is one that began training with Gospel Journey last September. Our leadership teens (our e-team) went through it - all along praying for lost friends. This past Sunday night we had our kick off for the outreach portion of G.J. We brought in a band, had tons of food, and kicked things off nicely. We even had a drawing for a free ticket to Dare 2 share. We had over 25 visitors (our group by itself is around 30). We had about 100 total people because of all of the volunteers we had from our congregation.

We had MANY there that we had been praying for four months, including a kid who is an atheist AND a kid who is not into "the whole church thing". We have a great opportunity to follow up with these youth and we are VERY excited about it. God really answered a ton of prayers! We will debrief tomorrow night at our CORE (e-team) meeting and celebrate as we go into the second outreach night this Sunday. I pray that this is only the beginning of the great stories to pass on. Stories of God's greatness and goodness.

Greg & Neva,

Wow! I can't even begin to tell you the power of what happened in Tanzania just a few weeks ago...

I took 5 students to Tabora, Tanzania, on the far eastern side of the country to work in two small villages. (You know the drill, no running water, no electricity, etc.) The villages were 75% Muslim...but get this, despite roadblocks over 5,000 came to Christ with all 26 American & 40 African participants.

It was so great to not only share the gospel using GOSPEL Journey, but it was so amazing to teach these believers how to share it. It watch students share with a teenager in Tanzania how God created us to be with Him, and Our Sins seperate us from God, etc., etc...it was FANTASTIC.

Thank you for your help in sharing the Gospel in Tanzania. By training our students to share their faith, and giving us the tools, we were able to share with the lost in Africa!
