The Truth Behind Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd;
Lonely? Feeling abandoned? You have a personal permanent relationship with the God of the universe!

I have everything I need.
Poor? Feeling empty? You have the riches of heaven at your disposal!

He lets me rest in green meadows;
Tired? Feeling weary? You have been granted rest in Christ Jesus!

He leads me beside peaceful streams.
Parched? Feeling spiritually dry? You have the Living Water at your fingertips!

He renews my strength.
Weak? Feeling spiritually scrawny? You have the muscle of the Messiah available!

He guides me along right paths,
Lost? Feeling like you have nowhere to turn? You have the Light of the world to guide you!

Bringing honor to his name.
Discouraged? Feeling like you have no purpose? You are on an eternal mission for the King of Kings!

Even when I walk through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
Scared? Feeling that life has the better of you? You have the Captain of your salvation protecting you, and He brings you back when you go astray!

You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.
Betrayed? Feeling deceived by your enemies? You have the Avenger who brings hope in a hopeless situation!

You welcome me as a guest, anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life,
Depressed? Feeling let down? You have the Holy Spirit who lives inside you bringing you blessings every day!

And I will live in the house of the LORD forever.
Insecure? Feeling destitute? You have the smile of Jesus and a home in heaven evermore!
