I've done several events with Everfound, but one of my most cherished times with them was dinner at my place.
I love camps!
I love retreats!
And I love conferences!
I’ve been blessed with many opportunities to speak at camps and conferences, to be honest it is one of my favorite things to do! Not only do I get the chance to share the gospel from a platform, but I get to invest in the lives of the group I am sharing with at the retreat or conference venue.
I’ll be attending the Dare 2 Share “Follow” Conference in Seattle in April. Maybe you’re a good distance away from Seattle, but I’d be willing to guess there are a lot of people reading this blog that are within a days drive of a Dare 2 Share tour stop… if this is you, I’d recommend you’d get there.
Besides the great dramas, speaking and the energy of a few thousand teens, I can give you four additional reasons to be there…
As I previously mentioned, I love camps and conferences. And before I tell you the four other reasons you should be at Follow I want to tell you a quick conference story. Three years ago I was honored to speak at a state-wide denominational camp in Colorado. For a full week I was to speak in the morning, hang out and play with students all day and then deliver the messages again in the evening. I’ve done this scores of times for camps and it never grows old, but this time it was different. Normally, when speaking at a camp like this the band would play their opening set and then head offstage and retreat to the green room and enjoy the snacks and some down-time before closing the session with a song or two.
At this Colorado camp the band spread out and sat in the crowd, with the students and leaders. They stay engaged, even taking notes. On Thursday I asked the students who made significant decisions in their relationship with Jesus to stick around while also inviting their leaders to stay with them. But it wasn’t just the leaders praying with and over the students, the band did too! I watched one of the band members sharing his faith, helping a student to learn to trust Jesus for salvation.
It clicked for me, the band wasn’t there to lead worship, the band was there to worship. Worship through music. Worship through prayer. Worship through witness. Worship through the Word and worship through relationship.
There are four additional reasons why you should attend Dare 2 Share’s Follow Conference in no particular order.

The band I got to spend a week of worship with in Colorado was a band named Everfound. I’m excited to spend another weekend in worship with these four young men at the Seattle Conference.
If you’re not able to be a part of the Dare 2 Share conference I still encourage you to worship with Everfound (check out their music) because while their music is great, their lives are all about sharing Jesus!
What music and/or musicians have been an influence and encouragement in your walk with Jesus?

Brian,
I am glad to have sponsored your meeting of these fabulous brothers…in arms and in reality. I echo your sentiments…they are amazing young men who are and will do amazing things. Great job Greg, Debb and team partnering with Everfound!
