Accounting Manager

Dare 2 Share Ministries is looking for an experienced accountant to join our team as the Accounting Manager. This individual chosen for the position will be a member of our cross-functional management team.

The position requires a degree in accounting and solid fundamental comprehension of the practice of recording, classifying, examining, and analyzing the data and records of financial transactions. The Accounting Manager reviews, approves details and processes transactions consistent with an understanding of mission and vision, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and D2S policies and procedures.

The primary responsibility of the Accounting Manager is to assure completion of day-to-day accounting operations by the accounting staff, assuring that they are carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, policies, and objectives. This will necessarily involve significant hands-on activity since the manager is effectively the accounting backup for all accounting systems and processes normally handled by the rest of a small staff.

The Accounting Manager often works independently, within broadly defined work objectives and limited (detailed) review of overall results. As such the work requires technical accuracy and compliance with instructions through spot checks, appraisal of results, subsequent processing, analysis of reports and statements, and other appropriate means.

Hours: 40 hours per week (Full Time)
